No organization stands alone. EDC forges relationships and works collaboratively with many local – and national – economic development agencies. Here’s a brief listing of our partners:

Center for Economic Growth (CEG)
CEG is focused on New York’s Capital Region, facilitating efforts to attract high-tech talent and companies, and to provide innovative services to bolster local businesses.

City of Glens Falls Industrial Development Agency (IDA)
The Glens Falls IDA assists companies with tax exempt financing for capital projects.

Counties of Warren/Washington Industrial Development Agency (WWIDA)
This entity is authorized to issue both tax exempt and taxable industrial development bonds for projects involving manufacturing, commercial and civic facilities.

Greater Glens Falls Local Development Corporation (GGFLDC)
The GGFLDC serves as the city’s LDC (local development corporation). It operates two loan programs to assist business:  The Micro Loan Program and the Economic Development Revolving Loan Program.

Hudson River Local Development Corporation (HRLDC)
Established in 2005, the HRLDC is empowered to construct, acquire, rehabilitate and improve for use by others, industrial or manufacturing facilities. The HRLDC also serves as a financing vehicle for capital projects with regional economic significance. EDC works closely with the organization on such important initiatives, including the Queensbury Industrial Park.

National Development Council (NDC)
The NDC is in place to increase the flow of capital for investment, jobs, and community development in under-served urban and rural areas across the country. Like private bankers, NDC matches the best sources for capital with project needs. But they do it for Main Street, not Wall Street. The agency also provides SBA-backed credit for small businesses.

New York State Economic Development CouncilNew York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC)
As the state's principle organization representing economic development professionals, NY Loves Business/NYSED promotes the economic development of the state and its communities, encourages sound practices in the conduct of regional and statewide development programs, and develops educational programs to enhance the professional skills of its members.

NYS Empire State Development (NYSESD)
NY Loves Business and NYSESD is the economic development entity for the state, investing hundreds of millions of dollars in private and public economic development projects statewide to help revitalize neighborhoods, create and retain jobs, and bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state.

NYS Office of the Comptroller
The Division of Local Government Services and Economic Development executes the comptroller’s mission to improve the condition of local government and the communities they serve.

Olympic Regional Development AuthorityOlympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA)
ORDA was created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates Whiteface Mountain and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex; and the Olympic ice and jumping complexes. As host to international and national championships, the Authority has brought millions of athletes, spectators, and visitors from around the globe to the Adirondack region.

Queensbury Economic Development Corporation (QEDC)
QEDC has been partnering with EDC since 2004, helping to finance major local projects such as the Adirondack Regional Business Incubator and the Main Street Corridor Project.

Saratoga Economic Development CorporationSaratoga Economic Development Corporation (SEDC)
SEDC provides economic development services, Empire Zone administration and general business assistance exclusively for Saratoga County. The organization is the developer for the Luther Forest Technology Park in Malta, future home of AMD’s chip fabrication facility.

Warren County Local Development Corporation (LDC)
The purpose of this county-sponsored local development corporation is to further projects and programs that enhance the economic well-being of Warren County and its communities. In addition to serving as a fiduciary account for County Planning Department projects and repository for housing program funding awards, disbursements and repayments, the LDC administers the county’s small business lending program. The Washington County Economic Development Corporation provides economic development services, Empire Zone information, and general business information exclusively for Washington County, New York.
