86 Glen Street Receives National Grid Grant
In summer 2007, EDC assisted 86 Glen Street developer Peter Hoffman, of Glen Street Associates, in applying for a grant through National Grid’s Main Street economic development program. In December, Hoffmann’s firm was awarded $35,500 to offset the cost of purchasing and installing an energy-efficient HVAC system for the 15,000 square-foot building.
“We’ve worked with EDC on many projects, and I find the whole team there to be great advisors as we move ahead with our downtown rehab efforts,” notes Peter Hoffman. “This National Grid grant helps us to complete 86 Glen on budget. Especially in rehab situations, when you encounter some unknown factors as you move ahead, this type of grant is extremely useful.”
Once completed later this spring, 86 Glen Street will house NBT Bank and Behan Communications. In total, approximately 30-35 professionals will occupy the new building.
National Grid’s Main Street program is but one of many funding resources that EDC helps local companies to access, and we’re ready to help you!
