Attracting New and Expanding Businesses
As a strategic part of its overall marketing plan for 2007, EDC will participate in seven major trade shows targeted at specific technology recruitment opportunities for the Warren County/Glens Falls area. We have partnered with two regional business attraction initiatives in order to maximize efficiency and increase the likelihood of success. Throughout 2007, EDC will be part of the following campaigns:

NY Loves Nano is designed to capitalize on Tech Valley’s outstanding nanotech assets, including Albany NanoTech, RPI, Sematech North and the announced AMD chip facility to be built at Luther Forest Technology Campus.

This consortium of economic development, private bio companies, service providers, and academic institutions has developed a brand-new campaign specifically targeted to reach biotech and other technology companies that may be seeking to expand into New York as a result of our proximity to existing medical device manufacturing, biomedical, and biopharma R & D assets.
In its drive to leverage our existing medical cluster and our position on the Tech Valley Corridor, EDC will represent all of Warren County’s light industrial parks, sites, and buildings at these events. Information and marketing materials about Warren County’s two NYS Certified Shovel Ready parks – Queensbury Industrial Park and Tech Meadows at Glens Falls – will also be represented at the following list of national and international trade shows:
